Sheikh Hasan Khalil recently had the children in his Islam for Teens class write letters to the Prophet(sa) expressing their view of the state of Islam in the world today. I thought it would be a great idea to have the people do the same here on our blog.
I would like to start by sharing the letter of 10-year-old Raniah Elasad. Her letter came in 4th place. Read her wonderful letter and then share your view:
Letter to the Prophet Muhammad SAWS
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatu oh beloved Prophet of Allah,
I apologize oh Prophet of Allah for how far people are away from following your sunnah. I apologize for how Muslims are fighting on this earth for land, oil, and for power. I am sorry people are fighting each other on how to pray right even though you taught us how. I am sorry people are changing thier name from Muhammed to Micheil just so people will like them. We should all be ashamed.
But even though I’m only a Ten year old girl, age and gender doesn’t matter to learn and teach the religion the right way. If I start now to learn and be the best I can be and teach it to others, maybe my generation you will be proud of. Lots of my friends are trying, we WILL make you proud when you see us walking towards you.
Oh prophet of Allah I have one request on the day of Judgement, for you to ask Allah to allow me for Jannah. I love you for the sake of Allah.

subhanallah what a beautiful letter mashallah
, it brought me to tears 
SubhanAllah, how deep and so truth this letter is. SubhanAllah, I would have placed it in first place. This ten-year-old has recognized how Muslims are forgetting the Sunnah. This ten year old has recognized how Muslims are ashamed to even carry the name of our Prophet. Way to go little sis. MashaAllah.

DEAR PROPHET MUHAMMAD, MY NAME IS ZORA RICKS AND I AM SEVEN YEARS OLD I’M NOT LIKE LITTLE GIRLS MY AGE, I WEAR THE HIJAB AT MY SCHOOL AND I’M PROUD OF BEING A YOUNG MUSLIM GIRL I’M AT THE POINT WHEN PEOPLE HAVE SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY I JUST IGNORE THEM BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THEY DON’T KNOW ANY BETTER AND I MAKE DUAA FOR THEM. ANYWAY, PROPHET MUHAMMAD I KNOW BY FOLLOWING WHAT YOU SAY AND DO I KNOW I WILL MEET YOU IN HEAVEN AND WE WILL BE SIDE BY SIDE, FACING AND PRAISING ALLAH TOGETHER. I TRY MY BEST TO DO ALL THE GOOD DEEDS THAT I CAN. I OBEY MY PARENTS AND MY ELDERS AND I KNOW YOU WILL BE PROUD OF ME. I LOVE YOU PROPHET MUHAMMAD AND I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU STAND FOR AND I WANT TO TELL YOU ALSO THAT I AM GLAD ANGELS ARE HERE WITH ME TO PROTECT ME AND THAT THEY ARE MY FRIENDS AND THAT I HOPE TO PICK UP ALL THE MANNERS THAT YOU HAVE I HOPE TO BE A STRONG MUSLIM AND A STRONG BELIEVER. OH YA, PROPHET MUHAMMAD, I ALSO DON’T HAVE ANY PICTURES ON THE WALL OR ANY IMAGES ANYWHERE IN MY BEDROOM BECAUSE I KNOW THAT DRAWS JINNS IN MY HOUSE AND WE CAN’T HAVE THAT.

Brought me to tears as well … I don’t know if adults would be able to tell him (SAWS) the truth as children could …
MashaAllah both letters were so beautiful. Tears came out of my eyes. If those little girls understand what is happening nowadays to the muslims and want to try their best to be a good muslim Then in what position we adults are if our little brothers and sisters think like this. May Allah ( sbt) guide them and all the muslims to the straight path. Aameen
