  1. As Salaamu alaikum
    rahmantu allah wa rawabara kartuhu.

Sister Layla may Allah reward You and your helpers with paradise as I was greatly touched to tears while viewing the Video on the Angels (ra). The video was overwhelmingly beautiful. I became so sorrowful yet so grateful upon being reminded of the angels Munkar and Nakir may (Allah swt be pleased with them)…as I recalled that Friday when Allah swt ordered the calling and taking of my Granny’s soul. I was much overwhelmed and brought to tears as I again realized that I was there and present as her soul was taken from her body. The Quran and Hadith is so well remembered by me as Allah tells us that we can do nothing during that moment when all is taking place right before our eyes. Yet we see nothing of what the those Angels are doing to that soul, and we cannot stop it in anyway once Allah has place His command. Nothing at all….

I thank Allah, for His Prophet Muhammad (sas) and for you sister for touching the hearts of so many of us and helping us to stay focus on our ultimate target which is to try and please Allah (swt), to become friends of Allah (swt) and to seek His forgiveness. I am crying now as I write these thoughts because you see ….Allah spared my soul on that day and took my Granny’s instead of mines but this video will always be a strong reminder to me of that day and, that at any time, anywhere, any day…..I could be next.

May Allah forgive you and all of us. And may He keep on forgiving us until those angels are sent for us. Sister this video is amongst all the winning ones that you have made. And of couse I will need to purchase it.

    Jazak allah khair and
    Thank you so much.

  2. Dear Sisters whom I love for the sake of Allah, I leave this
information because of where I have been and where I have arrived in life. I am 5ft and very petite frame, In 1999 I weighed over 200lbs, was a borderline diabetic and had high blood pressure…I was 30! Allah gave me one body to last me in this world, I had to change! My blood pressure is now 120/70 and my sugar is always 90…I’m 40!Insha’Allah I will continue in my health to raise my 5 children!
    THE BITTER TRUTH ABOUT SUGAR

    Arron Muhammad

Now a few words about the largest drug addition in the world, refined (white) sugar. Let me start by saying that it (white refined sugar) has no food value and contains no nutritional value. White sugar is considered an empty carbohydrate, no value! Whenever I mentioned sugar throughout this article. I’m speaking of white refined sugar.

In the process of making sugar from both cane and beets, they are heated and calcium hydroxide (lime), which is a toxin to the body, is added. This is done to remove those ingredients that interfere with the complete processing of sugar. Carbon dioxide, which is another toxin, is then used to remove the lime (and according to my studies, not all is removed).

The sugar turns from a sticky black substance to a clear juice which is heated to remove other impurities. And if that’s not enough, the sugar is then bleached white with a chemical solution that uses pork by-products (blood albumin and/or animal charcoal). The sugar is processed at least three times before it’s in the form that we would normally use and by that time it no longer resembles a food and is now a drug and an artificial substance.

Sugar is used for different purposes. There is the grade that is commonly used fortable sugar. Then there is the grade used in processed food (such as cakes, ice cream, candy and soft drinks). Sugar is also used for non-food purposes such as making plastic, cement mixing, and leather tanning. I have used table sugar along with white flour for years to make glue for hanging posters. So, if you don’t mind having your intestines glued shut, then feel free to continue eating this deadly substance.

The chemicals used in sugar processing (phosphoric acid, acid calcium phosphate and others) are potent and health-debilitating. Sugar has a tremendous amount of carbonic acid which disturbs the nutritional balance in the body. Sugar robs the body of almost all nutrients, especially the minerals chromium, zinc and calcium, and vitamins C and B-complex.

Sugar destroys food digestion enzymes in the mouth, stomach, the small intestines and the pancreas. It also reduces the amount of hydrochloric acid (a necessary digestive acid) in the stomach. Without enough hydrochloric acid the food isn’t broken down properly. Therefore, we can’t properly absorb the nutrient and we will have frequent bouts with constipation.

Sugar interferes with activities of the small intestine which digests the food. The small intestine pushes the waste along and most importantly releases the nutrients in the food to give us energy and nourish cells. But when we eat sugar, digestion is disturbed. Consequently, the amount of food nutrients available to the body are limited. In addition to this, sugar is released into the blood. This toxifies the blood and puts too much carbon in it which further damages the body cells. Since there is no real nutrition in sugar, it represents a toxic waste material in the blood that the body will try to get rid of. The lymphatic system will grab some of this waste in an attempt to purify the blood. When the lymphatic system becomes overloaded, health problems occur, which could have been avoided. Too much sugar, salt, and starch can work together to create an excessive appetite. These food cravings create an imbalance in the body.

The body really desires nutrition. Cravings are symptomatic of this. The body wants food to give it nutrition. When you give empty foods it still craves nutrition which is one reason people gain weight. The other reasons are addictions to certain foods (e.g. sugar, salt, caffeine, etc.) and the lack of exercise. Sugar moves very slowly out of the stomach. This creates over-acidic conditions in the stomach which influence the secretion of enzymes and hydrochloric acids to help digest our food. This over-acidic condition also affects the entire body.

Such diseases as cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and others are the results of eating too many highly acidic foods. Americans consume entirely too much sugar. Americans consume more than 125 pounds of sugar annually! And they may not be aware of it. That’s because sugar is hidden in many foods such as cereals, ketchup, canned foods, frozen foods, etc. In fact almost 70 percent of the sugar that we consume is hidden in foods. For instance, a typical 12-ounce soda contains 10 teaspoons of sugar. The typical candy bar is almost all sugar. Why even pizza has a considerable amount of sugar in it. The sweetness of the pizza is hidden by putting in a lot of salt and other ingredients which give a semi-sweet taste.

I would like to end this by thanking my friend Sister Shont’s for helping me prepare this article.

    here we go…

    titled:

    Shaytan, think you Slick…

SubhanAllah! I feel more determined to worship Allah.
After learning about the Jinn, I’ve become more cautious of my personal Jinn.

I have to stay on guard against my opponent

    You may stay awake,
    Not getting tired,
Hasting to put doubt in my heart
    Trail after trial
    But guess what?

You’re not slick, I know your trick.

I’ll remember Allah, you can’t fool me.
With the protection and guidance of Allah, you can’t harm me!
I’m not scared of you, bring it on shaytan…
For it is only my Lord, I terrify!

You may whisper in my ear, telling to dislike that sister.
But I will say no and differ with you
    You evil creature!

    Instead, I’ll love that sister
    Email her,
    Ask her how she’s been.

You’re not slick; I’ve recognized your tricks.

I’m standing firm in my salaah
    Here you come,
    approaching me,
    Trying to disturb me!
    Not this time shaytan.

    I’ve learned to catch myself.
Inquiring myself ‘what are you thinking?
    Concentrate in your salaah missy!’

You want me to rush through my salah; I’ll decide to take my time.
    Pray to your Lord,
For the sake of seeking his reward.

I’m not going to let you make my prayer worthless, by making my mind wonder.
    You think I’m clueless.

    I’m aware…
I’ll pray to Allah to make me prepared.
To protect me from you evil
So I don’t become of those whom you trapped into despair.

You want to make me think that this is too much knowledge, so I can stop learning…

No! I’ll continue to seek the pleasure of my Lord.
I’ll pray to Allah to protect me
And help me to move forward.

I may have fallen into your ditch once,
    But I’ve become strong now,
Can’t let you trap me into the same ditch twice.

You can’t hypnotize me and sing the lullaby,
I’ll mention the name of Allah,
    That’ll shoo you
    Like a fly

Your not slick, I know your trick.

    Now…

    —————————Dont cross the line ———————

    I’ll Just say…
Authubillahi min as shaytan ar rajeem.
    Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem.

    PS:
May Allah reward my teacher – Laila Nasheeba – the highest level of paradise! For she is of those who sacrifices time, to seek the pleasure of her Lord, the Most High.

    …Ameen….Ya Rabbal Al’ameen

  5. As salaamu alaykum

SubhanaAllah!! I have almost no words to express how much this lectures on death have impacted my deen.

Before this lectures I had a very general idea of how death was going to be and the experience in the grave too… And I see now that I was fearing death for the wrong reasons. Everyone in one way or another fear death, but it is totally different when you know in detail how things are going to be…

Before this lectures I was having a hard time focusing in my prayers, controling my temper and my tongue, amongs other things… And through this lectures Allah has opened the eyes of my heart and have made it easy for me to practice my religion the right way…

I saw this clear picture of myself, screeming and crying out to Allah, just begging Him to give me another chance to go back and make it right… But they were no second chances…

I understood that now is the time, there is not time to waste, I can not take my deen litely… It just helped me to focused in the HereAfter as my goal, and to do as many good deeds as I can, it is easy now to have patiene and tolerance and I am able to control my tongue…

Because I clearly know exactly what I want, I want Paradise, I want to earn Allah’s love. I wont have no other chance, this is it. And I have to strive harder, I dont want to be punished, now is my chance and I want to make the best of it…

I dont want to have any regrets when I’m in the grave, whishing I did better, I want to die, knowing that I tried my hardest and did what I humanly could to earn His love…

And I also understand that I need to have a balance, I have the fear I needed to push myself to strive harder for Jannah, and I also have the Hope that Allah’s Mercy is going to reach me and my family inshaAllah, and we will earn His forgiveness and His Love…

Sister Laila, your reward is so GREAT!!! I love you and the rest of my sisters for the sake of Allah,

    UmmMalik

  9. As Salaamu Alakium,
Sister Laila, I thank Allah that my abu has guided me to you and I have guided others to you. Since I have been on coming to your classes which has been about a year now, my Iman has increased so much. My children and I are closer and our fear and love for Allah are enormous. 10. I DON’T KNOW IF THIS IS THE SECTION FOR BLOGS BUT INSHA’ALLAH.
MASHA’ALLAH I WROTE A POEM FOR PPL WHO STRUGGLE WITH BEING TO0 HARD ON THEMSELVES, BECAUSE I CAN RELATE, AND INSHA’ALLAH I PRAY IT INSPIRES SOMEONE EVEN IF IT’S JUST ONE PERSON……….

    *I MAY NOT BE*

I MAY NOT BE THE SMARTEST, OR HAVE THE PRETTYEST SMILE.
I MAY NOT SPEAK AS WELL AS THAT SISTER OVER THERE, OR WEAR THE LATEST STYLE.
I MAY NOT BE THE MOST LIKED, OR HAVE TONS OF FRIENDS.
I MAY NOT BE THE BEST WRITER, OR VERY OUTSPOKEN.
I MAY NOT HAVE AS MUCH SKILL AS MOST, I MAY NOT BE THE STRONGEST.
I MAY NOT HAVE AS MUCH STORIES TO TELL, I MAY NOT PRAY THE LONGEST.
BUT DON’T FEEL BAD FOR ME, I NO LONGER FOCUS ON THE NOTS BUT I RATHER FOCUS ON WHAT I AM.
I’M LEARNING TO TURN THE SADNESS INTO CONTENTMENT AND THE CAN’T INTO CAN.
I DON’T NEED TO BE THE MOST SPECTACULAR OR EVEN THE MOST TOUGH.
I’M JUST LITTLE OL ME TRYING TO EARN ALLAH’S LOVE, AND MASHA’ALLAH, FINALLY ALLAH HAS SHOWN ME THAT’S ENOUGH.

I HOPE THIS INSPIRED SOMEONE, IVE HAD DAYS AND NIGHTS AND STILL DO SOMETIMES STRUGGLING WITH FEELING LIKE NO MATTER HOW HARD I STRIVE IT’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I HAVE TO KEEP REMINDING MYSELF OF WHAT LAILA TAUGHT US , SHE TAUGHT US NOT TO LET SHAYTAN DOOP US BECAUSE HE TRIES TO COME TO US AS THE SINCERE ADVISOR! HE TRIES TO TELL US, WE’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, YOU DIDN’T PRAY LONG ENOUGH, YOUR ANSWER, OR WHAT YOU HAD TO SAY WAS GOOD, BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE ANSWERED BETTER LIKE YOUR SISTER DID A FEW MINUTES AGO. I CAN ONLY BE ME, AND TRY TO BE THE BEST ME, THAT I CAN BE I CAN’T ACCOMPLISH EVERY GOAL I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH ALL AT ONCE, EVERYBODY DOESN’T WANT TO BE MY FRIEND NO MATTER HOW GOOD OF A PERSON I TRY TO BE. PPL ARE GOING TO TALK BAD ABOUT ME, AND SLANDER ME, AND IT’S NOT MY FAULT.
NO MATTER WHAT WE HAVE TO KNOW THAT THERE IS POWER IN DU’AH, AND FOR THOSE WORRIED, PRAY AND DON’T WORRY, AS LONG AS YOU KNOW YOU ARE TRYING, AND DON’T LET SHAYTAN MAKE YOU FEEL UNLOVED, OR NOT GOOD ENOUGH, IT’S A BATTLE BUT I FIGHT TO WIN. SO INSHA’ALLAH I’LL GET BETTER, TOO, AND WE CAN OVERCOME BEING HARD ON OURSELVES, AND FOCUS ON JUST LIVING LIFE THE WAY ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER PEACE AND ALLAH’S BLESSING BE UPON HIM TOLD US TOO. STRIVE TO EARN HIS LOVE, AND HAVE HOPE THAT YOU’LL MAKE IT TO JANNAH! AS SALAAMU ALAIKOM

  11. As Salaam Alaykum,

I must say that after being gone for only 4 days from this site I feel as if part of my heart was missing. Since finding Sunnah Followers just before Ramadan 08 I feel my faith so strong and my craving of knowledge increasing. Missing one lecture is hard but when missing days it seems like a lifetime. This time away made me appreciate even more the time you sacrifice for us daily Laila, all the emails you are loaded with but patiently answer each one, the videos that you make that we get to enjoy daily and the audios that are uploaded for those of us who cannot make it but can catch up. I pray that Allah blesses you abundantly Laila as he has blessed me with finding your site. I have learned more in the few months of coming here then in the 2 years of searching online to learn Islam trying to convert my husband to my past faith. Alhamdulillah Allah guided me to you because I feel you have molded me and guided me into the woman I am today. My marriage is stronger, my outlook on life is different. I always ask myself before doing something, would I do this in front of Allah and am I doing this for Allah? Mashallah all the time you have put in class has changed so many lives and may Allah give you the highest level of Jannah, ameen. I love all my sisters and brothers here at Sunnah Followers. May Allah continue to guide all to this site so they can learn the true path. I am humbled by all you do Laila as well as all the sheikhs who give their time to help us. You have been there for me in some very rough times but you saw me through it and I will never forget it. Sunnah Followers is the medicine for my soul. Without it I am weak. Thank you all for standing with me and growing with me daily. I am truly blessed!!

    Amira

  12. Alhumduliallah Amira I pray that you continue to grow in your knowledge and understanding of this deen and that you remain upon the straight path with me.. side by side.

  13. Mashallah Haleemah what a wonderful inspiration for us all!!!

  14. Masha Allah sister Haleemah! I know what you mean, I have learned that we have to be balanced thanks to our teacher sister Laila. This website is a blessing and I love ALL of my Sunnah Follower sisters for the sake of Allah. I feel like this is our special place that we can come and be ourselves and learn and feel loved Masha Allah. May Allah keep us on the straight path and make our iman stronger everyday ameen.

  17. Mashallah Khadija you have grown so much in your knowledge and understanding of the deen. I am very proud of you sister!

  18. BISMILLAH

    ADVICE, MATH, AND FOOD.

I LEARNED THAT WHEN YOU’RE TALKING YOU’RE NOT LISTENING, AND WHEN YOU’RE NOT LISTENING YOU’RE NOT LEARNING!

ALHAMDULILLAH! MAY ALLAH REWARD OUR TEACHER LAILA NASHEEBA! LETS DO SOME MATH SHALL WE? YOU SEE SISTAH LAILA , BREAKS IT DOWN SO WE CAN UNDERSTAND LIKE FRACTIONS, AND MASHA’ALLAH OUR KNOWLEDGE MULTIPLIES, BUT IF YOU ADD KNOWLEDGE AND SUBTRACT UNDERSTANDING, IT EQUALS ZERO, AND BECAUSE SO MANY PPL LACK UNDERSTANDING, WE THUS DIVIDE AS MUSLIMS, INSTEAD OF COMING TOGETHER!

SO WHEN THE TEACHER IS GIVING OUT KNOWLEDGE, LISTEN SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND, AND ADD TO YOUR PIETY, ADD TO YOUR DEVOTION, ADD TO YOUR GOOD DEEDS, AND INSHA’ALLAH, ALLAH WILL ADD YOU TOO PARADISE, AND SUBTRACT YOUR HOUSE IN HELL, ONLY TO BE DIVIDED AMONGST THOSE WHO TOOK THEMSELVES OUT OF THE EQUATION OF HEAVEN.

MATH CAN BE DIFFICULT BUT ONCE GIVEN THE FORMULA, YOU CAN FIND THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM! SO LISTEN AND LEARN, AND LEARN AND LISTEN. ASK QUESTIONS WHEN NEEDED, AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM!

NOW LETS GRAB A BITE TO EAT! KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING IS ON THE MENU! WITHOUT IT WE WILL STARVE, SO GRAB A PLATE, LICK YOUR FINGERS, EAT WHAT’S IN FRONT OF YOU, AND DON’T MISS OUT ON THE BLESSINGS! EVERYTIME WE GO TO SUNNAHFOLLOWERS, WE’RE FEEDING OURSELVES, WE ARE SERVED KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING, AND FOR DESSERT WE HAVE YUMMY POWERPOINT, AND VIDEO, WE ARE LICKING OUR FINGERS EVERYTIME WE PARTICIPATE, OR TAKE NOTES. AND AFTER WE’RE DONE EATING, ALHAMDULILLAH WE FEEL FULL AND SATISFIED, AND WHEN WE GET HUNGRY AGAIN, WE CAN ALWAYS GO BACK ALHAMDULILLAH AND GET A PLATE FULL OF KNOWLEDGE, AND UNDERSTANDING AND OTHER BENEFICIAL FOOD TO KEEP US HEALTHY AND STRONG BY ALLAH’S WILL. BUT WE CAN’T REJECT THE FOOD, WE HAVE TO BE WILLING TO EAT, OTHERWISE WE’LL STARVE, AND WHEN YOU STARVE YOU WILL EVENTUALLY DIE. SO FEED YOUR HEART, DON’T BURN IT! REJUVENATE YOURSELF, YOU HAVE TO EAT TO LIVE.

I LOVE YA FAMILY AS SALAAMU ALAIKOM

    HALEEMAH

  19. Bismillah

  20. asalamwaleikum, i have written these islamic poems, could you post them on your website, jazak Allah khairun

    The miracle, the Quran

So brothers and sisters, to increase your iman
Read the miracle, read the Quran
Here’s a fact for the ones who are keener
86 surahs revealed in Mecca, 28 in Medinah
Read it every day and to read it be proud
The word Quran means to read it aloud
Read the book from the Lord of the worlds
Over 6,000 verses and 77,000 words
Read with respect,no disturbance, no laughters
from Al Fatiha to An naas, all 114 chapters
And in it 14 times you need to prostrate
And say Allah ho Akbar, meaning Allah is great
In this book, 25 prophets are mentioned by name
Who came at different times but their message was the same
This miracle was revealed over a 23 year span
Sent from Allah(swt), to an angel and then to a man
That man was Muhammed (saws), the best of creation
And we are proud to be part of his nation
He gave us a message and that was Islam
So read this miracle, read the Quran

    Muhammed (saws)

What a year was 570 AD
A person was born, a prophet to be
Muhammed (saws) that was his name
People were misguided and thats when he came
He would go on to leave all the idols behind
He is an example to all of mankind
Rabbi al Awwal the 12th, that was the day
He came to this world to show us the way
He was born in Mecca, the holiest place
A life full of challenges he was to face
Abdullah(ra) his father, had by then passed away
Leaving Amina (ra)his mother,in her arms he lay
    Haalima Sadia,took over his care
Until he was six,our prophet was there
His mother then died,he was left all alone
Abdul Muttalib(ra) his grand-dad then made him his own
When our prophet was eight, his grandfather died
Abu Talib, his uncle, became his new guide
In his 20’s,a merchant Muhammed (saws) became by trade
    Al-Amin,(the trustworthy) became his grade
Hazrat Khadija(ra)aged 40, became his bride
He was 25, with her by his side
To the poor, she gave away all her wealth
A dedicated wife in sickness and health
360 idols in the Kaaba, they were at that time
Our prophet realised that this was a crime
He would go to mount Hira, leaving behind his wife
Reflecting and wondering about the meaning of life
Whilst thinking there in the midst of the night
He heard a loud voice which filled him with fright
It was the angel Gibrail(as) who asked him to read
Our prophet couldn’t and didnt take heed
The angel embraced him and thern asked him later
Read, Read in the name of the Creator
Who created man from a drop of blood
Our prophet couldn’t read but at that time he could
Our prophet rushed to the path straight ahead
He heard a voice from the heavens which said
Muhammed(saws) truly you are the messenger of God
Muhammed (saws) was scared and thought this quite odd
‘Praise be to God’ his wife said instead
”I know you’ve been chosen as God’s messenger’ she said
And thus Khadija (ra) became the first woman of islam
And over the next 23 years came the revelation, the Quran
He preached to all people, every creed every race
Yet so many hardships he had to face
There were fears for his life, then the Hijrah took place
He then entered Medina, all by Allah’s grace
He was greeted by the Ansaris who gave salutation
To him and his companians, who did the migration
Then came the battles, which were fought face to face
Then the conquest of Mecca,Muhammed (saws)’s birthplace
An Nasr was revealed, it’s message was clear
Muhammed (saws) knew that his time was near
Everyone gathered to hear his last speech
little did they know how far Allah’s message would reach
Muhammed (saws) gave us the miracle the Quran
And now a 1/4 of the world follow Islam
He is our role-model, the best of mankind
And has left the Quran and his Sunnah behind
Read the Quran as much as you can
The words of Allah(swt) for the guidance of man
And follow our prophet’s sunnah, when eating and dressing
And send him salutations and many a blessing
He came to mankind to show us the way
And Insha-Allah,we’ll meet him,we’ll meet him one day

What is the purpose of this life?

What is the purpose of this life?
    Money, holidays, a beautiful wife?
There is no point in us denying
Each heart beat brings us closer to dying
    You’ll breathe your last
    Your life will have past
    Don’t pretend
    Death’s not the end
You will taste death, death never waited
    Look around you, everything’s created
It has a creator, it has a meaning
A mother gives birth and then comes it’s weaning
The sun rises and gives us light
It sets, then falls, the blanket of night
The plants all grow, when falls the rain
They give fruits to man, and they too will wane
Why does man think that he will get away?
Spending life aimlessly, as if he’s here to stay
A fixed time is appointed, everything will perish
Everything you hate, everything you relish
Except the Almighty Allah, He will remain
And then will come judgement, all on one plain
Allah will say, I gave you life
I gave you health, wealth and a wife
What did you do with your time?
What did you do in your prime?
Did you spread my message, did you spread islam?
Why not? Did you not read the Quran?
My friends, we muslims, we are so blessed
Allah gave us islam to supercede all the rest
My non-muslim friends, the Quran must be read
Read before it’s too late and you’re dead
You owe it to yourselves, it will make you cry
You’ll know these words are from the Lord most High
Instructing mankind to the purpose of life
And the reward my friends is everlasting life
Our purpose is to worship our Lord most High
The reward is heaven where no one will die
You’ll have anything you want, all the best dishes
And Almighty Allah will grant all of your wishes
This life my friends is just a cage
We should live by His orders, to be safe from his rage
You will understand when you read the holy Quran
You’ll know the religion of truth is islam
Protect yourself and your families from hell
Embrace islam and all will be well
For the deeds of this life, you’ll pay the price
In the depths of hell or in paradise

    SALAH

Salah is a basic pillar of islam
It is mentioned again and again in the Quran
The importance of prayer is in seven hundred places
But in the mosque,do you see many young faces?
Praying in the mosque gives 27 times the reward
Pray with the intention that you’re pleasing your Lord
When you walk to the mosque, just remember within
You gain a reward and you’re losing a sin
For every step towards your destination
This is a blessing from Allah swt to his creation
Make amends before you are dead
‘say your prayers before your prayers are said’
while seeing elders pray at the mosque door
remember as a young person, your reward is 70 times more
read salah punctually, read it with care
on judgement day, we will be asked about prayer
that’s the first question, so take this advice
salah is the key to paradise
spread this word to muslim sisters and brothers
salah will separate muslims from others
salah is a blessing which Allah swt gave
it will intercede and protect us in the grave
when it comes eventually, to the day of rising
the believers body washed by wudu will be shining
for the believers who are regular in offering salaat
it becomes a light of guidance on the pul-siraat
the ayat-ul-kursi after fard, should be read
it will lead you to paradise (insha Allah) after you’re dead
not reading salah will lead you to hell
surrounded by serpants in a deep well
read your salah whilst still in your prime
and read the durood in all your spare time
you’ll get ten rewards, the Lord (insha Allah) will accept your pleas
and you’ll be closer to Allah swt by ten more degrees
so embrace islam with all your heart
and remember the key is reading salaat

    WOMEN IN ISLAM

How do women fit into islam? What is their fate?
This has been the subject of many a debate
‘for the believing men and women, is a great reward’
this is from surah al azaab, the words of our Lord
it can be seen from reading the holy Quran
that a woman has some privilege over a man
    praying is exempted during menstruation
    here islam gives women consideration
a woman after marriage becomes a wife
for nine long months she carries new life
during childbirth she is exempted to fast
islam is against the burying of girls in the past
they can pray at the mosque or even at home
they may marry or divorce ,its their choice, their own
after marriage she can retain her old maiden name
and is rewarded for treating all her offspring the same
once they are married they should live pious lives
‘and the best men are those who are best to their wives’
islam shows equality my sisters and brothers
don’t forget paradise lies at the feet of your mothers
women in the UK had property rights from 1938
this right was given by islam, 14 centuries to date
in the UK , women could vote from 1918
this was stated 1400 years ago in islam our deen
women can work and lead a happily married life
but shouldn’t neglect her role as mother and wife
a woman for her child’s upbringing, deserves her credit
islam also gives a woman the right to inherit
a woman’s status in islam, we should never neglect
in islam they are favoured and deserve their respect

    THE TORMENTS OF HELL

If only you knew the torments of hell
It is the worst of places where anyone could dwell
It is in existence even as we speak
And for its inhabitants the outlook is bleak
On the day of rising, hell will be in view
A terrible sight, if only you knew
It will be brought forward by 70,000 reigns
And 70,000 angels will be on each of those chains
After burning for a thousand years , it’s flames turned white
A thousand more years, now it’s as black as the night
You think the flames are bearable, you’re totally wrong
The flames are of hell are seventy times as strong
In a flash it will disintegrate all of your bones
The hellfire will be fuelled by man and stones
The thickness of your skin will greatly increase
Causing your threshold for pain to greatly decrease
The people in hell are there to stay
They will melt to nothing, 70,000 times in a day
70 years it will take, for a stone that is thrown
to hit the bottom of hell and it won’t be alone
the food of hell resembles a devil’s head
and to drink, boiling water and blood bright red
which cuts up the bowels, everything will fall out
the inhabitants of hell will scream and shout
some will be taken out by Almighty Allah’s command
but the polytheists will stay eternally damned
take up islam, the only way to succeed
and if you don’t, you’re unfortunate indeed
brothers and sisters, help determine your fate
once you see hellfire, it’ll be far too late

    LIFE AFTER DEATH

You only live once so sit back and enjoy
No time for sorrows so fill it up with joy
This way of thinking is totally wrong
Our total existence is forever long
Life is for eternity its stages are four
The first is in the womb, but hold on there’s more
The second is from birth until the moment we die
The third takes place in the place where we lie
Barzakh is it’s name until judgement day
The fourth is eternity and in heaven we pray!
The soul splits from the body at the time we die
Then with the angel of death, they both will fly
If the person is pious, the angel looks handsome
And the wicked will wish, that they could ransom
For the pious, the soul is taken on a piece of silk
Eventually, they’re in heaven with rivers of milk
The evil person’s soul is dragged out with pain
Then they know, their life was in vain
When Allah swt gives the order, the soul is returned
Either to a bed of paradise, or else to be burned
The soul is returned, while the family are grieving
And then he is questioned while his loved ones are leaving
At that time the person will be in such a state
He is asked three questions which determine his fate
He will be panicking, his heart full of fear
When he sees the angels, Munkar and Nakeer
He will be asked about his God, religion and what did he say
About the person who appears in front of him that day
That will be Muhammed saws, the best of creation
The pious will recognise him, from his own nation
After answering rightly they are saved from the ordeal
Of the torments of the grave, which to us seem unreal
Their grave is extended and in peace they stay
They will praise Allah swt and continue to pray
A window of paradise is seen and they sleep in bliss
Whereas the unbelievers grave becomes hell’s abyss
Creatures are let loose on their fronts and back
Their graves close in until their ribs will crack
They are in constant agony until judgement day
Nothing will help, it will be too late to pray
They will know because of themselves, their future is wrecked
But they won’t have a clue what to further expect
For the believer , it passes like a good night’s sleep
His good deeds have been done, the rewards he shall keep
Judgement day will pass like the time for a prayer
At the speed of light he crosses the bridge, thin as a hair
And before he knows it, he is in paradise
Whereas the unbeliever, will be paying his price
This life is a journey, death isn’t the end
Real life goes on, so don’t just pretend
So prepare now, we’re not here to stay
Follow islam, the key is to pray
Brothers and sisters take this advice
You’ll be proud of yourself, when in paradise!

    PARADISE
Whatever we do, we’ll pay the price
In the depths of hell or in paradise
For the believer ,this life is just like a cage
For the unbeliever, it’s the ultimate stage
Little does he know about the awaiting reward
Which is full of luxuries, where no-one gets bored
You’ll enter the gate of paradise, if it’s in your fate
Your deeds and actions will determine by which gate
No worldly things will you ever miss
On entering the gate, you’ll be surrounded by bliss
Four rivers will be granted by the Divine
containing water and milk, honey and wine
People will live in mansions built high
Where they’ll live forever, no-one will die
It’s bricks will be made of silver and gold
The climate will be perfect, not hot and not cold
A hundred years it will take to circle a tree
Surrounded by loved ones for all eternity
There will be no calls of nature, no-one will sleep
There will be no worries, no one will weep
When people sweat, it will smell of musk
Allah swt will be praised from dawn till dusk
Everyone will be aged 30 or 33
And they’ll stay at that age for eternity
The inhabitants will be wearing a beautiful green gown
Sitting on thrones, wearing a crown
People will be happy, there’ll be no remorse
To visit others, they’ll have a flying horse
Men will have 2 houris as their wives
Who will remain with them for the rest of their lives
On Friday there will be a dinner for people of all races
And a bazaar where people can exchange their faces!
When walking along there’ll be many meetings
With prophets and angels, exchanging greetings
Such is the ecstasy that will then prevail
When Allah swt removes His veil
There will be no kings, there will be no peasants
And everyone will see the Divine Allah’s presence
There are 100 levels to paradise and we should pray
That Al Firdaus, the highest will be where we stay
Allah swt has showered us with His grace
And we have to be worthy to show our face
Whatever we do ,we’ll pay the price
In the depths of hell or in paradise

Do you really know this man?

Muhammed saws, to mankind is dear
but have you ever thought, how did he appear?
his height was above average, he had a sturdy build
to protect him, his companions would even have killed
his hair was lengthy, wavy and strong
his forehead was prominent, his eyelashes long
his eyes were black with a touch of brown
he met with a smile, hardly a frown
his beard was thick, that’s what they say
mainly black and some hairs were grey
a thin line of hair over his neck and chest
when sat at a gathering, he outshone all the rest
his nose was sloping, his cheeks were spare
he was so handsome with a complexion so fair
his gait was firm and he walked quite fast
only the energetic could keep up and last
he would speak so calmly, no signs of violence
he would often sit, in total silence
he would explain to people about our deen
he had few clothes, but they were spotlessly clean
he explained that muslims were united as brothers
and therefore to overlook the faults of others
to perfect ourselves in the path of islam
to seek knowledge to strengthen our imaan
muhammed saws is the best of creation
and from his example, we should gain inspiration
his friend Abu bakr (r.a) once said
two lines about him, here’s how it read
‘as there is no darkness in the moonlit night
so is mustafa saws, the well-wisher bright’

    A dua a day keeps
    the devil away!

let me teach you a simple dua
when leaving the toilet, say Ghuffranaka(1)
when entering the toilet, don’t think twice
say Allahumaaini auzubika minal khubsi wal khabaais(2)
    before drinking say bismillah(3)
    and end with al hamdullilah(4)
    when sneezing, say al hamdullilah
and on hearing this yar hamoo kallah(5)
on remembering a bad deed, whilst in your car
    sincerely repent saying Asthagfirullah(6)
just before you sleep, don;t count a star
say Allahuma bismika amootu va ahya(7)
three words light to the mouth heavy in reward
subhan Allah(8), Al hamdullila, Allah ho akbar(9)
    let’s praise the Lord!

1 I seek forgiveness from Allah (on exiting the toilet with your right foot)
2 Oh lord I seek refuge from the filth and the filthy (on entering the toilet with your left foot)
3 in the name of Allah
    4 praise be to Allah
5 may Allah’s mercy be upon you
6 I seek forgiveness from Allah
7 Oh Allah, in your name we die and we live
    8 Glory to Allah
    9 Allah is great

    Adam and Eve

This is the story of Adam and Eve
for all of you people, just read and believe
at first the whole world contained just the jinn
then they began indulging in sin
the angels were sent to drive them away
then Adam (as) was created from clay
from his left rib came Eve(ra), his beautiful wife
they lived in paradise, enjoying their life
the angels bowed to Adam (as) on Allah’s command
except iblis (the devil), he was eternally dammed
time went past and they spotted a tree
iblis told them it was immortality’s key
the devil thought himself superior and clever
and asked the two if they fancied living forever
all they had to do was to eat from the tree
this was forbidden by Allah, the very same tree
the devil made one eat and the other ate too
Allah was angry and out of heaven they flew
they had to leave heaven for only this deed
the devil was cursed, he deserved it indeed
Adam (as) and Eve (ra) to the earth they fell
they had angered the Almighty and hadn’t done well
they realised the devil had led them astray
and on earth they repented and continued to pray
their repentence was accepted, from their mistake they learned
now to re-enter heaven, this had to be earned
iblis rejoiced,’ I have fulfilled my aim’
I’ll mislead all your offspring, I’ll treat them the same
i will continue to mislead them until it’s too late
a hundred lusts inside them I’ll create
so brothers and sisters, don’t let him succeed
he will lead us to hell, an evil place indeed
think about death, we haven’t got long
our aim is to prove that the devil is wrong
realise our purpose, don’t stray, don’t get bored
we were created only to worship our Lord
    live as a muslim, 24/7
then insha Allah we’ll meet, we’ll all meet in heaven
